Life Is A Secret We All Share

Two words to describe this weekend: GREAT WEEKEND! Besides all the fun that took place this weekend, I must say I learned a great valuable life lesson:

I learned we all have SECRETS that we don't want to share because we are scared of being judged by others, but little do we know there are people that share similar feelings and stories. Honestly, when you come to realize this it's almost a release that will make you sigh. We also have to realize the people we call our "friends" will be there for us regardless because as Dr. Seuss once said, “Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel Because Those Who Mind Don't Matter and Those Who Matter Don't Mind.”

Anyways, here's a cool video about 50 random people who tell you their secrets. I like it because it's kind of cool. Although, you may laugh at some confessions it makes you realize we all do stupid and crazy things, yet we are still the same people our love ones love!

By the way, there are more documentaries of "Fifty People, One Question." They are done in different locations and are different questions. Here are a few more: Fifty People One Questions.

Ambitious Song of Day: Emotional Rollercoaster

Sometimes we are not only on a emotional roller-coaster with love ones, but also with our dreams, goals, and aspirations because of frustration and when things do not go the way we plan.

QiQi's Corner: Alicia Keys Sings Pickney (?)

Rumors are and views of pictures may suggest that Ms. Alicia Keys is pregnant by her boyfriend Swizz Beatz. Supposedly, nothing has been said by neither Keys or Beatz about the rumor. So does this means this will be Swizz Beatz third child if the rumors are true??? Remember the last article I posted about him supposedly having a 2-year old child to the famous Russian Singer Jahna Sebastian. If you need a recap of that story just checkout QiQi's Corner: Swizz Beatz Baby? As for him and Alicia Keys, only time will tell the truth about this pregnancy.

Quote of the Day:

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. Barack Obama Attacks Technology

Recently, President Obama has attacked technology specifically iPods, iPads, Xboxes, Playstations by stating they are a 'distraction' to the younger generation. He stated his views in a speech to graduated students at Hampton University in Virginia.

President Obama words were the following:

"You're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank all that high on the truth metre. With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations -none of which I know how to work - information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation."

What most people seemed to be confuse about is his attack towards technology, but the irony of him being one the first presidents to run his presidential campaign with a great used of technology. Some is calling Mr. President a hypocrite, while others agree with him.

Personally, I do believe technology is taking over our generation and hurting us in some ways;I can somewhat understand the point of President Obama. I just feel he should have also made it clear during his speech how technology of our generation can be a gift and a curse because the effect of his presidency was a gift!

Here's his speech:

Ambitious Song of The Day: Can't Stop Me

R.I.P to Another Legend: Lena Horne

Lena Horne, the singer, actress and civil rights activist who paved the way for many African Americans died this Sunday, May 9, 2010 at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. Horne died at the age of 92.
Horne, who is actually from Brooklyn, New York became the first African-American performer to be put under contract by a major studio in 1942. Her work has been honored through several awards based on her success. She had done it all from the Cotton Club at age 16 to Broadway Musicals, to shows like Sesame Street and more.

She was truly a "SheSoAmbitious" type of woman and once again we have lost a good role model.

United & Continental Airlines Merging

United and Continental Airlines has confirmed today that the airlines will merge, the intended combination of both airlines merging will be the hope to create the world's biggest airline. The merge is expected to launch at the end of this year, pending based on regulatory approval. If the government do approves the merge, like it did in the past for Delta and Northwest Airlines......this will leaves us with less competition in the marketplace, which will influence me and you, the customers.
As a person that loves to get up and go, this worries me. Flying lately seems to be like a roller coaster and very unpredictable. That's why I'm still working on a flying connect! (lol) So please, if you can help me out let me know and the way I have been traveling within the last few months....I will take full advantage.

Co-Founder No Longer a Fan of BET Network

The woman who once held so much power to the BET network is no longer happy with the company she invested in. Shelia Johnson was one of the co-founders of the BET network and has said she is ashamed of what BET has turn into. It is said, Johnson is so ashamed that she encourage her own family to not watch the BET network.

To quote what Shelia Johnson had exactly said in the interview with TheDailyBeast.com about her once owned network, in which she sold for a great amount money just read below:

"Don’t even get me started, I don’t watch it. I suggest to my kids[a 20-something daughter and a college-age son] that they don’t watch it… I’m ashamed of it, if you want to know the truth."

It wasn’t always that way. “When we started BET, it was going to be the Ebony magazine on television,” Johnson tells me. “We had public affairs programming. We had news… I had a show called Teen Summit, we had a large variety of programming, but the problem is that then the video revolution started up… And then something started happening, and I didn’t like it all. And I remember during those days we would sit up and watch these videos and decide which ones were going on and which ones were not. We got a lot of backlash from recording artists…and we had to start showing them. I didn’t like the way women were being portrayed in these videos.

Johnson says she no longer has any connection with BET. “I just really wish—and not just BET but a lot of television programming—that they would stop lowering the bar so far just so they can get eyeballs to the screen,” she says. “I know they think that’s what’s going to keep programming on the air; that’s what’s going to sell advertising. But there has got to be some responsibility. Somebody has got to take this over. Because with all the studies that are out there, this is contributing to an atmosphere of free sex, ‘I don’t have to protect myself anymore.’

I'm starting to think the only minority BET is starting to represent are themselves because the majority of the people I speak to can agree with Ms. Johnson.

Oh yea, Ms. Johnson is a SheSoAmbitious type of woman. You should checkout her background to learn more about this wonderful woman...she may inspire you!
