9-1-1

I MISS YOU GUYS!!!!! So much has been going on and I will like to share. Let's see....life is picking up I recently started a new job, but real estate and marketing will always remain with me. This new job is a little more work intensive so my blogging has went downhill sadly, but checkout my Tumblr I update it more often through my Blackberry.

As for the personal life, just say a lot...good and bad. Good that I'm starting to embrace more of what should be embraced about life, bad as in people will be people. I feel like the more God gives me the more I have to watch my back. I'm starting to realize people will use you and back-stab you, BUT if you prepared like I am through experiences....You learn how to protect yourself. I learned to watch what I say around people and I recognize people will always TALK. Knowing that people love to talk I learn to always give people something to talk about because they going to talk anyways...and that my friends my mother taught me.

On the career and goals side of things......I shake my head as I type this. Why? Because the pressure is on at this point in my life. Many may have heard me say "The most intense pressure is what I call my own," simply because I feel like no one has ever put as much pressure on me compared to the pressure I put on myself. Tonight on my way home I tweeted something very interesting, as well as something I've learned to take some pressure off my back. I tweeted: Sometimes to take the pressure off...I have to remind myself....I'm only 22 and I have already done things people will not do in a lifetime. Then a Twitter follower responded saying how they also have to do the same at times, in which I responded back by tweeting: People try to remind us we have our whole life in front of us, but then they also say tomorrow isn't promise....

I'm started to realize it's how you want to live your life. People are going to say a lot things in life, but understand you have one life to live...If you listen to people you may regret many of your life decisions. Yeah, you may regret somethings in your life because of choices you personally made, but I will feel more comfortable blaming myself than someone else for where I end up in life.

I love you guys for continuing to check-in I wish I was more consistent with my blogging. I'm not making no promises, but I will post when I can...So to keep up with me more make sure you checkout my Tumblr more often....

Stay up and Stay Ambitious...Peace. Love. Respect.

They Say It's A Man's World

I placed this situation on my Twitter....I placed it on my Facebook and I received a lot of feedback. Here's the situation.....

Isn't it funny how no man likes seeing a woman in his family hurt by a man. Yet, many will hurt so many other women....Just something to think about!

Beginning with Children Foundation Gala Event

Summer time + heat + life= hard to update regularly. Please forgive me.

Anyways, last week I was invited to a gala to celebrate something that has influenced me to be the young woman I am today. The gala was for the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Beginning with Children Foundation and the founders, Joe and Carol Reich.

Joe and Carol Reich were two successful individuals who decided one day to make an investment in education. To do this they created a partnership with New York City Board of Education, the United Federation of Teachers, and Pfizer Inc, as well as received help from sponsors throughout the years. As the school continue to gr0w (might I add I was the third class to graduate and was the first biggest class to graduate, which was around 48 students), it was converted to a charter school requested by the Chancellor of the City of New York. This made Beginning with Children one of the first K-8 public charter schools in New York State.

Beginning with Children Charter School or B.W.C as many of the alumni and students would call it, played...well still plays an important role in my life. Yes, they used to spoiled us as children to parties at Pfizer, to having our own little private park in the middle of Bed-Stuy/Williamsburg area, to family picnics, to trips to Cornell University to Washington D.C., and I can go on but I'll leave it at etc. Although, I have become an alumni to B.W.C I am not forgotten and so are many other alumni because to this day they still spoil us with opportunities. Great opportunities like college preparation and tours, workshops, paid internships/jobs, and again I can go on.
I had a lovely time at the gala. I met some great important people and I seen some old teachers, along with seeing some great old friends. One of B.W.C. first graduates, Omar Lopez hosted the event. He's a Harvard graduate who is already on his road to success, but he has also shown a obvious love to giving back to his community and where he came from. Omar is currently teaching at a charter high school, but did announce he will be teaching next year at B.W.C new sister school Community Partnership Charter School.
Wow!!! Beginning with Children has come a long way, but I can't forget one of my mentors and the woman who helped kept the foundation of B.W.C together, Sonia Oritz-Gulardo. She has done so much for me and many of the students of B.W.C. She was my first principal who told me when I was wrong, but she was also one of the first individuals to see something in me. I remember I had a conflict that needed to be discussed in the principal's office, which was her office. I spoke and expressed myself so well about the situation, and I knew this because Ms. G (as we call her) expressed this to me. It was good hearing this from someone who knew me as a shy little girl who have watched me grow into a more outspoken young girl. Haha, now those who know me today know I am very outspoken!

Overall, this event brought back so many memories that I had to try my best to hold back so many tears, especially when Ms. G shed a few tears as she shared a wonderful speech about B.W.C with us.

A True Human......

Another late night to myself, while I listen to some good non-stop music of Jah Cure. Currently playing "Never Say Never." Excuse my laziness guys, but I wanted to post a couple of things this week. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to. I will make sure they will all be up by the end of this week or weekend though.

So what has SheSoAmbitious been feeling for this Life post......

Well you guys should know what your own company can do...ummm whether you enjoy your own company or not, but anyways it just makes you: THINK and FEEL! So what I am thinking and feeling is ahead of my time. What I am thinking and feeling is how my future will impact many lives. From the ones who are trying or tried to hurt me, and to those who has always loved me to those who are going to love me!

I'm also THINKING and FEELING--tired. I am tired of trying with people. You know the people you try to be nice to and they take your kindness for weakness. Let us not forget those people, you knew forever who forgot you knew them forever and will put you last to people they met yesterday. I'm tired of having the heart that gives people the benefit of the doubt, so when they mess up or someone screw them over....I forget they screwed me over, but still my heart will allow me to lend a helping hand.

I like to think of it like a child and a parent relationship; a mother and daughter. As the daughter grows she starts to change and become a trouble teen. A trouble teen who starts to disrespect her mother and becomes destructive. One day the daughter decides to runs away from home and she depends on her friends for everything, who we all know doesn't really care for her like her mother would. Eventually, this teen daughter gets in trouble and calls her mother from a precinct because she just got arrested. What does the mother do after what her daughter put her through after that phone call???She goes rescue her daughter. Why? Because her love for her daughter and heart as a human won't allow her to just leave her daughter in that particular situation.

Now we all hear similar stories like this, so what does the daughter do after her mother rescues her????Chances are the daughter behavior doesn't change and it becomes a pattern in the relationship, while the mother is hoping one day her daughter catch the reality of the situation before its too late.

Sorry for the long analogy, but yea......I am sick of having those type of relationships with people because when I need a hand they hand is no where to be found. Anyways, life goes on.....you live and you learn! Leaving you guys with that.....I'm not mad just all smiles. Success is the best and sweetest victory...I won't say revenge because my belief is to seek revenge is to be stuck in the past and I'm all future babyyyyyy!!!!

I'm Backkkkkkkkk!

Yesssss!!!!!! It feels like forever my AMBITIOUS ONES, but I'm back! Been busy trying to make sure my life do not fall into pieces, while I also been living LIFE. Had a great Memorial week (wouldn't say weekend because the weekend was extended) with the family and friends. Hit up a few parties, met up for some socializing, and even took a trip with the family to share some "time share."

Oh yea, the picture???? Just my current mood and me RIGHT NOW (haha, yea I know). How about I explain with some colons:

Cup: My power drink for the night

Time: 1:06am

Pandora Station: Kirk Franklin

Mood: Carefree mix with a go-getter spirit---just one of them nights

Hmmmm....yea, tonight is Friday and I decided to stay in. I like to have dates with myself, as weird as that may sound...I like to just have some alone time. I mean I have my space to be alone most of the time, but I like to do things on my "Me Nights." For example, I like to write, listen to music, and even do little things like give myself a mani & pedi. I believe time to yourself gives you the opportunity to explore your ideas and thoughts, but most importantly you learn more about who you are by exploring within.

I figure this will be a Life post because I learned some valuable life lessons this week; I don't know where to begin. Well first, I must just say I am BLESSED for the family and friends I do have. When I was younger and even now, I always had this big guard up from people (this meant family and friends) because I just always felt the potential of betrayal they can do to you. Well as I have grown I have come to realize that's the price you pay to find the good people that should be in your life.

Another great lesson I have learned this week is about FORGIVENESS. Boy, isn't that word powerful? I mean we all say we may forgive someone, but do we really? I recently have witness someone in my life who haven't said the words "I forgive," but from their actions it is clear they forgiven someone who caused a great amount of damage in their lives. Honestly, I have witness another close person in my life who forgiven someone as well who has hurt them. What I come to realize although they say God forgive us all the time for our sins and wrongdoings, so we should forgive others is not the only reason why we should forgive.......

We should forgive because forgiveness is not only for the person who hurts us, but it is for us! When you TRULY forgive you are no longer the victim or holding on to some baggage that has been holding you down. Recently, a friend said to me "...maybe you don't hate me," in which I kind of chuckle to myself thinking Thank God I don't hate you. What I meant by that is thank God I don't hate them because if I did I would be a miserable person, the bitter young girl I used to be, and just another individual holding on to some baggage I don't need. So, on that note just forgive because it's a benefit you give to yourself.

Life Is A Secret We All Share

Two words to describe this weekend: GREAT WEEKEND! Besides all the fun that took place this weekend, I must say I learned a great valuable life lesson:

I learned we all have SECRETS that we don't want to share because we are scared of being judged by others, but little do we know there are people that share similar feelings and stories. Honestly, when you come to realize this it's almost a release that will make you sigh. We also have to realize the people we call our "friends" will be there for us regardless because as Dr. Seuss once said, “Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel Because Those Who Mind Don't Matter and Those Who Matter Don't Mind.”

Anyways, here's a cool video about 50 random people who tell you their secrets. I like it because it's kind of cool. Although, you may laugh at some confessions it makes you realize we all do stupid and crazy things, yet we are still the same people our love ones love!

By the way, there are more documentaries of "Fifty People, One Question." They are done in different locations and are different questions. Here are a few more: Fifty People One Questions.

Life Venting: Live & Gain the Knowledge of Life

Since I'm still trying to develop SheSoAmbitious I thought of a new section for you guys.

I will like to name this section the "Life" section of SheSoAmbitious, being that this blog does involves the things that surrounds the young ambitious one life. Basically, the "Life" section will sum up general life problems that takes place in our life journeys and much more life concerning issues.

For those of you who don't know the reason I haven't been updating as much is because of my little getaway to Atlanta, Georgia and being busy. I love taking trips and getting away. Going away usually gives me an escape from reality and most importantly I have ME time. While I also enjoy the time that I spend by myself to my destinations (China may have been too much time though lol) because I do a great amount of thinking and talking to God---Well I'm trying to listen more actually.

In life, sometimes we live without clearing our minds and we surround ourselves with so much noise that we can't hear what God is trying to tell us. One of my sayings is "The best conversations are the ones we have in silence." I feel it is good to just live life, but if you don't take the time to digest a moment and analyze life you may miss a piece of knowledge that may kill or better your future. Think about a old wise person you know.......when they speak to you about life it's based on what they have learned through experiences and their analysis by living life, along with watching others around them live their lives.

By living life and learning from many life lessons lately I have realize several things:
  • Watch those who you surround yourself with....they can either make you or break you.

  • It's not the Quantity of friends you have, but the quality of friends that matters.

  • Don't expect people to know how to support and treat you the way you want to be treated, by assuming they SUPPOSE TO KNOW...IF YOU NEVER TOLD THEM.

  • Never regret something that once made you smile. :-)

  • If there's no conflict in any relationship you should be concern. What makes any relationship a better one is overcoming problems. Its the pain, laughs, the good and the bad that makes the LOVE appear in any relationship.

  • Put GOD first. I think sometimes we forget God through the good, but when the bad occurs that's all we can think of and call on. This only brings us to a point when we do well in life and then something occurs, which we don't usually understand why.....Little do we know it's just God bringing us closer to him...I leave you with this....IF HE WANTS YOUR ATTENTION HE WILL GET IT!

Peace. Love. SheSoAmbitious
